Welcome to Cochran Clan Sugar Glider Rescue

We here at Cochran Clan Sugar Glider Rescue are a 501(c)3 rescue based out of central North Carolina.We serve NC, SC, VA, and eastern TN.

Our passion is in these little furry angels. We specialize in rehabilitation of both their health and their trust in us as owners. Our mission is to find all abandoned and neglected gliders a forever home. We work with every glider that enters our rescue to tame them and make them into the loving glider that we know they can become. Our saying is, “there is no such thing as a bad glider, only those that need a little more love and care.”

Adoptions

Our goal is to find forever homes for all of the gliders we rescue. We have a strict vetting process for our adoptions. You will need to answer a questionnaire and have a cage and food to be considered as an adopter. We will do a home visit to verify that the habitat is suitable for a glider. This may be done by us personally or by one of our assistants in your area. We will maintain contact with you for the next 6 months to do checkups to see how the gliders are doing. We hope it doesn’t happen, but if for any reason you can’t keep them, we request that they come back to us.

All males are neutered within 3 weeks of entering the rescue. All gliders are adopted out for pet only. None of our rescues are for breeding.

WE DO NOT TRADE GLIDERS. WE DO NOT BUY GLIDERS

If you are looking for a good home for your glider we can do that.  We specialize in socializing gliders that are untamed or untouchable. This is the main thing we do. We will have males neutered before they find their forever homes. If you cannot bring them to us, then we can travel or have them railroaded to us. Included is a release form for people to fill out for surrenders.
