Welcome to Carolina Exotic Animal Hospital. Dr. Russell Breckwoldt and staff have a special interest in treating and care of ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, birds and other exotic pets. We also provide information and guidance on the proper nutrition and care of these pets.
Our hospital is a complete medical facility. A wide range of care, diagnostic and therapeutic services are offered.
Birds and other exotic pets often hide signs of illness until they become life threatening. Routine examinations in conjunction with laboratory testing can detect certain infectious and metabolic diseases in the early stages before they become serious illnesses. Annual examinations and preventative health packages are available for birds, ferrets, rabbits and iguanas.
