Founded in 2007 primarily as a bird rescue, Baird’s Nest Exotic Rescue has expanded to take in a wide variety of exotic animals including sugar gliders. Stacy is an experienced exotic animal rehabber who ensures animals surrendered into her care are healthy and well-socialized before they find their forever homes. She also provides glider boarding and mentor services.
I pride myself on how well my placements have turned out, but its a long process.
If you have a place in your colony, request an application to adopt a rescued glider on Baird’s Nest Exotic Rescue’s Contact page. Stacy puts considerable effort into ensuring that her animals are placed in excellent homes that are well-versed in their requirements and committed to their long term care.
Stacy accepts surrendered gliders when she has the available capacity. To surrender your animals, please fill out the form on Baird’s Nest Exotic Rescue’s Contact page. Transportation of the gliders to the rescue can be arranged if necessary.
Baird’s Nest Exotic Rescue offers inexpensive short term boarding for all exotic species, including sugar gliders, but excluding dogs and cats.
If we can help the animals stay with their family that’s the best happy ending.
If you are struggling to handle or care for your gliders, Stacy can clarify some of the confusion around diets and guide you toward a better bond with your babies.
