Awesome Possum is an in-home, hobby breeder with two cages of lineaged mates. Our joeys could be black face black beauty, leucistic, platinum, mosaic, white face, and standard, as well as combinations of these traits. Boarding

Awesome Possum offers inexpensive, luxury boarding for your gliders in our home. We provide a furnished cage, meals, treats, and lots of playtime in our amazing glider playroom. Gliders will come back home with freshly trimmed nails. Our four boarding cages are a Double Critter Nation, Madagascar, Brisbane, and Yescom. We charge a $25 set-up fee plus $5 per night for each cage. Nail Trims

Awesome Possum offers free nail trims and weigh-ins for your gliders and will teach you nail trimming techniques on request. You may also practice on our bonded gliders. Text 734-707-7677 to schedule an appointment.

Home Visits

Awesome Possum offers free educational visits with our gliders. We own 17 gliders across 5 cages and can show off a variety of set-ups, toys, and play area ideas. We welcome prospective owners to learn the basics and experience glider antics, and current owners to get training tips tailored to their pet’s personality, or to just let their fuzz-butts frolic in our playroom. We also love hosting interactive petting zoo visits for kids’ birthday parties and welcome the whole family to come along for glider visits.

Guardian

As a Glider Guardian, Awesome Possum is committed to the well-being of sugar gliders, and connected to a network of caring and knowledgeable Guardian mentors across the United States. If you are in need of help, advice, or an emergency home for sugar gliders, contacting Awesome Possum or another Glider Guardian will connect you to people who can help. Medical emergencies will always be referred to veterinary care, but Guardians have some tools to help you find a sugar glider vet in your state and guidance for first aid. Mentoring

Awesome Possum’s primary owner, Kaylee Slickis, loves any excuse to chatter about gliders and has a million and one tips, tricks, factoids, and anecdotes to share.
