Welcome to Arizona Sugar Glider Rescue and Hedgehog Mafia
The Arizona Sugar Glider Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation founded for the purpose of helping pet sugar gliders have happy healthy lives. We not only rescue and rehome sugar gliders, we also offer education and mentoring to prospective and current glider parents. We are an all volunteer rescue that loves sharing our passion for helping sugar gliders. In 2016 we expanded and began rescuing hedgehogs in need as well!
AZ Sugar Glider Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit corporation with NO paid employees. This means every dollar of every donation goes directly to help provide care for our sugar gliders. Every person who helps run the rescue are all volunteers. Most of us have jobs and families and spend every spare minute running all aspects of the rescue, plus making sure our animals have everything they need. Donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
Adoptions
Our passion is helping match our gliders in need to the best adopter possible. Adoption includes exam and fecal test by exotics veterinarian, as well as neutering for male gliders. Adoptions cost $100 per sugar glider. Please complete and submit a Sugar Glider Adoption Application and we will call you to schedule a visit with our adoptable sugar gliders.

Surrenders
We are no longer able to take in owner surrendersOur focus is taking in animals who are at risk of euthanasia/death due to being in an animal shelter, or in a location where sugar gliders and hedgehogs are illegal to own. We are unable to take in private surrenders for the forseeable future. We are a small, private, donation driven 501 (c)(3) rescue run by volunteers who house the rescue in our private home. PLEASE NOTE: If you adopted your hedgehog, or sugar gliders from Arizona Sugar Glider Rescue & Hedgehog Mafia, and you need to return them, please contact us! We are committed to each and every animal we adopted out and are often able to take them back quickly, if needed.
