The following example complaint against the Directory complaints department contains an expanded discussion on the guidelines for submitting and publishing complaints. Warning: contains gratuitous profanity and bad nerd jokes.

Complaints are for red flag issues. Lesser charges can go in reviews.
Complaint should deal with a current or ongoing issue, problems before 2020 won’t be published.
Complaint should deal with an entity in the Directory or a commercial product.
Complaints will be sent to the recipient 24 hours before publishing to request a response.
Complaints may be publicly claimed, fully anonymous, or publicly anonymous with identity revealed to me in the private text section. Make your wishes explicit on the complaint.
Complaints dealing with personal experiences have a higher chance of being published
Complaints will have third party names removed on publishing
Edit your complaint for readability, or I will do so before publishing. Use quotation marks to protect any text you do not want edited.
Swearing is allowed in published complaints, but keep the insults from violating Civil Rights
